VIP Research and Data Assistant

Frieze is looking for a part-time VIP Research and Data Assistant to join our team in the London Office. Undertaking intelligence gathering research on our VIPs guests (collectors, curators, gallery & museum staff, etc.) as well as ad-hoc research related to audience targeting and supporting different departments with database upkeep requirements. Responsible for managing lists of target audiences and databases, with experience of adding and cleaning up information in databases. Applicants should have a good understanding of the international art world and an excellent phone manner.

All candidates must be available immediately and have the following skills:

• Self-motivated
• Excellent attention to detail and being thorough
Proactive & creative in researching information required
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Proven competency in the use of IT systems, including CRM databases and Microsoft Office
• A team player, able to work with a variety of internal departments

New York Office Publishing Trainee

Requirement: Temporary (three days per week for six months; Mon/Tues/Thurs preferred)

frieze publishing is looking for a graduate trainee from April 9, 2018 for six months, with the possibility of renewal. This part-time role will encompass the print magazines as well as the website and digital publishing.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the Arts, have studied to degree level in a relevant subject, be familiar with desktop publishing programmes including Photoshop and InDesign, and have some office administration experience.

Job description:

This varied and exciting role will cover all aspects of publishing, to include:

• Picture research for frieze magazine and app
• Uploading new content to frieze.com
• Inputting caption and courtesy information into layouts
• Attending regular editorial and design meetings
• Fact-checking and proofing articles for publication
• Assistance with social media
• Help with event planning and production
• Booking travel for US office editorial staff
• Review-writing and editing sessions with frieze editors
• Assisting with public programming (including logistics and planning)
• Assisting the advertising/subscriptions teams with data-inputting/mailing
• General office admin support for the editorial team
